Insight Focus - Leadership as Art
Leadership as Art

Ultimately, a person should not ask WHAT IS THE MEANING OF MY LIFE? But rather must recognize that it is HE WHO IS ASKED. Each person is questioned by life; and a person can only answer to life by answering for one's own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible.
Victor Frankl, “The Doctor and the Soul”

Leadership as art is not prescriptive. It is allowing you to take the information and evidence from leadership science and translate it into a form that works with your style. Given the self-awareness you develop from feedback, assessments, and other collected evidence, you are then able to apply your learning to your leadership behaviors.

Leadership as art, allows you to mature into a wisdom that permanently transforms you into being and doing in ways that reap the outcomes that you desire. It is not a list of things to do, but rather a way of being, designed by you.

We help you reach this goal by coaching, observing, mediating, mentoring, guiding, and supporting you. This may be one-to-one sessions or team development sessions.

Team Interventions
A dysfunctional team is chronically unable to effectively deliver results, or, if they do deliver, it is at a high cost to team member relationships. The decision making system is impaired, usually because of the inability or unwillingness of team members to assess and act on a problem or challenge. We help to diagnose and recommend processes to enhance both the people systems (how you communicate, or don't communicate) and the task systems (how you go about making decisions based on data that supports your objectives).

Answer the questions below to evaluate the health of your team. If you answer "no" to any of the questions, your team may be in need of a tune up. Or, if you don't know the answers to the questions, perhaps you could ask your team.
  • Is the trust level high for everyone on the team?
  • Do we handle conflict and difficult issues in an open and effective manner?
  • Are team members usually committed to the results that are identified as important?
  • Does everyone on the team take personal accountability for attaining results.
  • Do we usually deliver the results we have identified to support our objectives and vision?
Simulations
When appropriate, we design simulations for you and your team. We believe that simulation is the most effective method to develop leadership skills. It allows leaders to practice new behaviors, receive feedback, and perfect their skill in a non-threat environment. Simulation can enhance business and communication skills and processes that lead to successful business outcomes.
